Hi I’m Laura the owner of Violet Hummingbird Events!

I’m a wife and mum to two little girls who are the heart behind this business and the reason I stepped away from my 15-year career as an NHS midwife.

Even the name of my business was inspired by them: Violet is my youngest’s middle name, and Hummingbird is a tribute to my eldest, whose heart condition makes it beat just a little faster—like a hummingbird’s wings.

I’ve always loved gardening and crafting, but more than anything, I love making people feel special. I get such joy from the little touches—the personal details that make moments magical. I’m a bit of a perfectionist (just ask my husband—I’m never without a project or two, including some for him!).

I want your celebration to look beautiful and feel unforgettable—from the décor and personalisation to the way the activities are tailored to your guests.
